What a brow lift can do for you
A brow lift, also called a forehead lift, lifts and tightens the brow and forehead to reduce sagging skin, deep forehead lines, and a heavy or drooping brow. By repositioning the soft tissue of the upper face, it also improves the look of the upper eyelids and the area between the eyebrows.
Dr. Yee specializes in the endoscopic brow lift, a minimally invasive approach that works through several small incisions hidden in the scalp rather than one long incision along the hairline.
EXPRESSION
Awaken your expressions
Wrinkles and sagging skin can give you a permanently sad or angry look. A brow lift helps your face show what you actually feel.
RESTRAINT
Natural-looking results
Puffiness, bags, and dark shadows below the eye are treated with lower blepharoplasty.
UPPER FACE
Reduce signs of aging
The eye area looks more awake, and lines across the forehead, around the eyes, and between the brows are lifted and smoothed.
How the endoscopic brow lift compares
The endoscopic brow lift is the modern standard for brow rejuvenation, lifting effectively with far less invasion than traditional techniques. Because Dr. Yee was the first surgeon in Arkansas to perform it, she brings more than 20 years of experience choosing and performing the right technique for each patient.
Classic forehead lift
An incision runs from one ear to the other along the hairline. Excess tissue and fat are removed and excess skin is trimmed. It is a more extensive surgery with a longer healing time.
- Incision: ear to ear
- Scarring: more extensive
- Downtime: longest
Endoscopic forehead lift (DR. YEE’S APPROACH)
Five small, half-inch incisions hidden in the scalp. A fiber-optic camera lets Dr. Yee lift and secure the underlying tissue precisely, preserving your natural structure and expression.
- Incision: five 1/2-inch
- Scarring: hidden in hair
- Downtime: 7-14 days
Temporal lift
The least invasive brow technique, but it only addresses the outer edges of the brow. If your concerns include the central or inner brow, the endoscopic lift is the better fit.
- Treats: outer brow only
- Scar: minimal
- Downtime: shortest
Trichophytic (hairline) lift
The incision follows the front hairline rather than sitting behind it, so the brow lifts without pushing the hairline higher. That makes it worth discussing if your forehead is already tall. Recovery runs longer than the endoscopic approach.
- Incision: along the hairline
- Scarring: fine line at hairline
- Downtime: 2-3 weeks
Are you a candidate?
An endoscopic brow lift suits most healthy adults in the Little Rock area who want to treat a drooping or angry brow, heavy upper eyelids, deep lines above the browline, or frown lines between the eyebrows. It does not address lower-face concerns such as excess skin along the jaw.
You may be a candidate if:
- Sagging upper eyelids – Lifting the brow gives the face a more awake, energetic look.
- Drooping brows – Brows that droop can read as angry or sad even when you are not.
- Forehead lines – Widespread creasing across the forehead smooths as the skin is repositioned.
- Widespread upper-face wrinkles – Crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines can be treated together.
Do you need surgery?
Not every concern needs surgery. Dr. Yee will tell you honestly which option fits.
- BOTOX®
Can temporarily elevate the brows and soften forehead lines. - Dermal fillers
JUVÉDERM®, Restylane®, and others add volume without surgery.
Nonsurgical options work for mild concerns, but they do not deliver the same lift or longevity as surgery.
What to expect during surgery
Dr. Yee performs the endoscopic brow lift under general anesthesia, so you are asleep and will not remember the procedure. She reviews your medical records ahead of time to confirm anesthesia is safe for you, and you are closely monitored throughout.
- The procedure begins with five half-inch incisions placed along the hairline.
- Small surgical instruments gently release the forehead tissue.
- A fiber-optic endoscope passes through the incisions so Dr. Yee can lift and secure the tissue while watching a monitor.
- Smaller incisions mean minimal scarring, less hair loss, minimal numbness, and a faster recovery.

Recovery & Results
You may notice an improvement in brow position and forehead smoothness as soon as the initial swelling starts to subside. Before surgery, Dr. Yee walks through the recovery process in detail so you know what to expect.

- FIRST FEW DAYS
Tightness, pressure, or soreness across the forehead is common and is typically well managed with prescribed or over-the-counter pain medication. - WEEK 1
Bruising is often minimal with the endoscopic approach. Swelling begins to settle and early improvement in brow position starts to show. - DAYS 7 TO 14
Most patients return to work within this window. - WEEKS 3 TO 6
Vigorous exercise stays off the table for a few weeks after returning to work. By this point most visible signs of surgery have faded. - MONTHS 3 TO 6
Final results develop: a more youthful, natural-looking brow with long-lasting improvement in forehead lines and brow drooping.
Why choose a board-certified surgeon
The surgeon you choose is the single biggest factor in a safe, natural result. Dr. Yee’s triple board certification, extensive surgical experience, and conservative approach to anesthesia all work together to protect your outcome and keep any risk as low as possible.
Blepharoplasty is a well-established, low-risk procedure. As with any surgery, uncommon complications are possible, and Dr. Yee reviews your specific risks with you at consultation so you can decide with full, honest information.
WHAT SETS DR. YEE APART
- Triple board-certified cosmetic surgeon
- Specialized training in delicate facial and eyelid anatomy
- Conservative, safety-first approach to anesthesia

Brow lift vs. other options
Depending on what you want to treat, a forehead lift may not cover everything. A facelift addresses the lower face and neck rather than the upper third, and many of Dr. Yee’s patients combine an endoscopic brow lift with blepharoplasty to treat the brows and eyelids together.
- Upper Eyelid Surgery
- Facelift
- Botox
- Laser Treatments

Frequently asked questions
Most patients report mild to moderate discomfort rather than pain. Tightness, pressure, or soreness across the forehead is common in the first few days and is typically well managed with prescribed or over-the-counter pain medication.
There is no single “best” age for eyelid surgery. Whether or not this procedure could be right for you will depend on factors like your facial anatomy, symptoms and goals. Many of our Little Rock patients consider eyelid surgery in their 40s to 60s, though it may be appropriate earlier or later.
The technique is customized to preserve natural facial characteristics. In men, the goal is to lift the brow without creating an overly arched appearance, while women may benefit from subtle shaping that enhances the brow’s natural contour.
Results are long-lasting, often for many years. Aging continues, but the brow typically stays in a more youthful position than it would have without surgery.
Scarring is minimal. The small incisions are hidden within the hair and usually heal well, making them difficult or even impossible to detect once fully healed.
BOTOX can temporarily elevate the brows and soften forehead lines. These options may work for mild concerns, but they do not provide the same level of lift or longevity as surgery.
