Are these treatments safe for darker skin tones?
Many are. Aerolase® is safe for all skin types and tones, SCAAR FX™ was designed with ethnic skin in mind, and Glacial Rx® avoids heat entirely. Dr. Yee will recommend the safest option for your skin during your consultation.
How many treatments will I need?
Light-based treatments like IPL typically require a short series for full results, while resurfacing lasers often deliver dramatic change in fewer sessions. Tattoo removal varies with ink color and depth.
Is there downtime?
It ranges from none (Aerolase®, Glacial Rx®) to a few days of darkening before spots fade with IPL, to 5 to 14 days with deeper resurfacing treatments. Your plan can be tailored to your schedule.
Will my spots or scars disappear completely?
These treatments are highly effective, but realistic expectations matter — some scarring or pigmentation may improve significantly without disappearing entirely. And after any treatment, rigorous sun protection is non-negotiable to protect your results.
