The Obagi Blue Peel
The Obagi Blue Peel is a trichloroacetic acid (TCA) chemical peel that is exclusively available for in-office use only at our Little Rock practice. It is designed for patients who want a fast procedure with dramatic results. It features built-in controls to promote superior outcomes – the TCA is mixed with a patented blue base that acts as a color guide to allow for even penetration and signals depth of the peel so that it can be customized to each patient’s individual needs.
Depending on the strength and depth of the procedure, following the peel you will experience light swelling. Within 2 to 3 days your skin will begin to peel. This peeling continues over the next several days. By day 7 to 10, your skin should be healed. Once your skin has completely recovered and finished peeling, you will notice a visible improvement in your complexion. Your skin’s appearance should continue to improve over the next 4 to 6 weeks, becoming firmer, clearer, smoother, healthier and more youthful looking.

The Clenziderm M.D. Acne Therapeutic System is available for both Oily/Normal and Dry/Normal kits. Clenziderm products are also available individually.

To let your skin fully heal during the recovery process, makeup should only be applied once the skin has peeled and there are no remaining signs of redness. This is typically seven to ten days after your treatment.
The Obagi Blue Peel safely and effectively rejuvenates the outermost layers of skin by delivering a controlled chemical acid to the epidermis. The chemical peel resurfaces fine lines and wrinkles, lightens unwanted pigment, tightens skin and reduces pore size and laxity.
We will provide you with post-procedure instructions, including avoiding strenuous exercise (so that you don’t sweat) and sleeping on your back (so your treated skin has good air flow). If you smoke, you will need to wait until your skin has fully healed to start up again.
When you stop by our office, we are happy to provide a custom skin care evaluation and suggest products that are best designed for your cosmetic concerns. The Obagi skin care line can be used with or without a Blue Peel treatment.
