The Benefits of Glacial Rx
Increased Comfort
Compared to laser treatments, Glacial Rx is comfortable and painless. It doesn’t use heat, requires no numbing cream, and results in no downtime. You can sit back, enjoy a refreshing experience, and rest assured that our team is treating your cosmetic concerns at the source.
Quick Treatment
Glacial Rx takes 15-45 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the treatment area and the cosmetic concerns you wish to address. Because it’s so fast, it can fit easily into any schedule. You may even consider coming into our Little Rock office on your lunch break to undergo treatment.
Fast Results
Most patients see the full effects of Glacial Rx within one to two months. Some may see results even sooner. Just one session of Glacial Rx can give you the results you desire, but we may recommend additional treatment sessions for larger areas of skin or particularly dark spots.
Minimal Side Effects
Though you may experience side effects like redness and microcrusting after treatment, these concerns resolve on their own in a few days. This technology may be a great option for patients who want to avoid the side effects that can sometimes accompany laser treatment.

Achieve a Brighter Complexion
Though we offer a variety of cosmetic surgery options at our Little Rock office, we are proud to offer nonsurgical options to patients who desire stunning results without an invasive solution. Dr. Suzanne Yee is triple board-certified and proud to employ the latest technology to help you achieve results with or without plastic surgery.
If you’re struggling with redness, inflammation, or age spots, we can use cooling technology to comfortably address them. Dr. Yee can develop a Glacial Rx treatment plan for you that provides the rejuvenation you desire so you can feel content in your own skin.

The Science Behind Glacial Rx
The overproduction of melanin causes age spots, disrupting your smooth, even skin tone. Glacial Rx uses cooling technology to suspend the production of melanin. As new skin cells replace the older skin cells over the course of a few months, your complexion clears.
Glacial Rx slows the production of melanin, so your age spots will be slow to return. As you notice spots returning, you may request another Glacial Rx session at our Little Rock office.

What Happens During a Glacial Rx Session?
This procedure is completely tailored to address your specific cosmetic concerns. Before you begin treatment, we will develop a treatment plan for you and provide the information you need to make an informed decision about the procedure. When you come into our Little Rock, AR, office for Glacial Rx, here’s what you can expect.
1
Relaxation
You will first lie back and get comfortable. Since this technology uses the cold to address skin concerns, you will require no anesthesia or numbing cream. Patients often report that it is a comfortable process that feels like a spa treatment.
2
Spot Treatment
Your treatment provider will move the Glacial Rx handpiece over the treatment area, paying special attention to age spots. She may apply the handpiece to each age spot for about 15-20 seconds.
3
Massage
After spot treatment, you may receive an exfoliating massage that uses cooling technology to reduce pigmentation. Serums may be applied to your skin to brighten it and accelerate cell turnover.
4
Continue Your Day
Treatment lasts a maximum of 45 minutes, and can leave our office and resume your day immediately afterward. You may experience some redness or microcrusting in the treatment areas for a few days after treatment.
5
Results
Within a few weeks, you should notice improved skin tone and appearance. It can take up to three months before the full effects of treatment become apparent.

Resist the Urge to Pick
After your treatment, you may experience microcrusting for a few days. Resist the urge to pick at your treatment areas and let your skin flake away naturally. Picking at your skin could result in scarring.

Use Sun Protection
Sun exposure increases melanin production, so we advise you to wear protective clothing when going outside and use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher every day. This will help prolong your results and minimize the chances of dark spots developing in other areas.

Apply Topical Products
Following a good at-home skincare routine that includes spot treatments, retinol, moisturizers, and other topical products can continue to address your skin concerns and maximize your results. After your Glacial Rx treatment, we can help you choose products that improve the appearance of your skin.

Receive Touch-Ups
Just one Glacial Rx treatment can yield beautiful results, but touch-ups will be necessary in order to maintain them. Glacial Rx has no limit to the number of safe treatments you can receive. You can continue to schedule sessions with us in Little Rock for years to come.
