What to Expect During CoolSculpting Treatment
This quick fat-reduction procedure involves little discomfort. Some of our patients even find it to be relaxing. Your session should be gentle, comfortable, and effective.
During the CoolSculpting procedure, a gel pad is applied to the treatment area to protect the skin from direct contact with the applicator. Next, the CoolSculpting Elite applicator is placed on the skin. This applicator focuses the cold energy on the targeted area without harming the surrounding skin, muscles or other tissues. You may feel some gentle pressure, slight cooling or tingling during treatment. Once adjusted to the cooling sensation of the applicator, most of our Little Rock patients choose to relax by reading a book, scrolling through their phones, watching TV or even napping.
This procedure requires no downite. You are welcome to resume any daily activities immediately after your appointment. Your frozen fat cells will be naturally eliminated by your body in the days and weeks following treatment.
After your treatment, you may experience some mild irritation, skin redness, numbing and tingling, but these symptoms should dissipate within a few days. In rare cases, you may experience bruising and swelling. Contact us if you notice any pain or adverse side effects following your procedure.

Very rarely, a condition called paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH) may occur, where treated fat cells enlarge instead of shrinking. CoolSculpting Results
The amount of time it takes to see results can vary. However, most patients start to notice a change at around three weeks. Final results usually do not become apparent until 3 to 6 months after treatment.
Within 1 to 3 weeks, most patients will begin to notice a gradual toning and tightening of the treatment area. Within 2 to 3 months, most patients will see their final results around this time. However, for some, it may take up to six months. With proper diet and exercise, you can enjoy the benefits of this treatment for the rest of your life.
