Two Surgeons, One Mission: Exceptional Results. Genuine Care.
"When I opened this practice in 2003, I set out to do cosmetic surgery differently — to make sure patients felt heard, to recommend what's right for them, not what's biggest, to deliver genuine care alongside exceptional results, and to stay with people through the whole journey, not just the surgery. That vision has resonated with more patients than one surgeon can serve at the level this practice demands. I spent years looking for the right surgeon to bring into this practice. The skill was never the hardest part. What I needed was someone who shared the way we treat patients here. Dr. Pournik does. He asks the right questions. He takes the time to listen. You can't teach that."
Dr. Homayoun Pournik is board certified, with 12 years in organ transplant surgery and approximately 1,800 cosmetic procedures in advanced body contouring. He joins Dr. Yee in caring for the patients who have made this practice one of the longest-running and most trusted in Arkansas.
A surgeon whose training was built from the most complex work there is.
For 12 years, Dr. Homayoun Pournik spent his nights on call, his weekends in the ICU, and his career performing some of the most technically demanding surgeries in modern medicine — removing kidneys from living donors with robotic precision and transplanting them into patients whose lives depended on it.
He became the first surgeon to perform robotic kidney transplant in both California and North Carolina, completed more than 300 organ transplants, and built an intimate understanding of the abdominal wall through hundreds of robotic hernia repairs and complex reconstructions.
That mechanical precision is exactly what he now brings to body contouring at Dr. Suzanne Yee Cosmetic & Laser Surgery Center — the same anatomy, the same demand for precision, applied to procedures that change how patients feel in their own skin.
It's very hard to scare me in the operating room, because I've taken the engine out and put it back in.
Body contouring, refined.
Approximately 1,800 procedures in a single fellowship year at one of the country's highest-volume body contouring centers.
Post-Weight-Loss Body Contouring
Full body lift, 360 body lift, and lower back lift with auto augmentation — built for patients after major weight loss.
Advanced Abdominoplasty
Tummy tuck, plus advanced techniques including Fleur-de-lis and the open book technique — rare offerings outside high-volume centers.
Mommy Makeover
Customized combination procedures, staged thoughtfully when needed for the best long-term result.
Breast Procedures
Reduction, lift, and augmentation — including refinements for asymmetry and post-weight-loss reconstruction.
Thigh & Arm Lift
Careful management of tension, scarring, and contour — high-volume fellowship experience across both procedures.
High-Definition Liposuction
Sculpting that respects natural anatomy — informed by a deep understanding of how tissue responds under tension.
Adding a surgeon of Dr. Pournik's caliber means we can see more patients without compromising on the time or attention we give each one. Exceptional results and genuine care. That's been the standard here for over 20 years, and now we have two surgeons committed to it.
The expertise Little Rock needs.
Across the country, a quiet wave is building. Millions of patients are losing significant weight through GLP-1 medications, and after 100, 150, or 200 pounds of weight loss, the skin doesn't follow. The result is dramatic skin laxity that no amount of diet, exercise, or nonsurgical treatment can address.
These patients need surgeons trained in full body lift, 360 body contouring, back lift, thigh lift, and the advanced techniques required for post-massive-weight-loss reconstruction. The kind of expertise patients in Arkansas might once have travelled to Nashville or Dallas to find.
Open book abdominoplasty, in particular, is a technique that few practices offer. Dr. Pournik performed it routinely during fellowship at one of the highest-volume body contouring centers in the country. For patients who have had massive weight loss, it's often what they need.
Are you happy?
That's the first question Dr. Pournik asks at every follow-up — day one, one week, six months post-op. The same question, every time.
"At the end of the day, all we do is try to make you happy," he says. "Nobody knows their body better than the patient. I see them for five minutes. They're seeing themselves for the rest of their life."
He's also candid about expectations before surgery. He believes in a staged approach for complex cases — the primary procedure first, evaluate the result, then return for refinements when needed. "Staging gives you success."

Soccer, family, and a life outside the OR.
Dr. Pournik is an avid soccer player and has been chasing pickup games in every city he's lived in since arriving in the United States in 2001 — Los Angeles, New York, Virginia, Cleveland, North Carolina, Tennessee, and now Little Rock. "The first thing I do in every new city is find a game."
He comes from a family of four siblings, all of whom went into medicine. He plays tennis, skis when he can, and loves to cook. After 12 years of midnight calls and three-day hospital stays, he's looking forward to a career that finally leaves room for life outside the operating room — without giving up the surgical skill set he's spent decades building.
If you're considering it, he's likely trained for it.
If you've experienced significant weight loss and are dealing with excess skin that won't respond to diet or exercise, Dr. Pournik's training was built for exactly this. From 360 body lifts to thigh lifts to advanced abdominoplasty techniques, his background in complex surgery means nothing in the operating room surprises him.
