DR. SUZANNE YEE: With breast augmentation, patients come in because they feel like their body is out of balance. Maybe they have a small chest and they have more of a pear shape and placing breast implants can give them more of an hourglass figure. It can balance their breasts with their bottom, and we always look at the patient from the front, to make sure that they’re given a good silhouette and also, we look at them from the side, because we want to balance their breasts and their bottom a lot of times. Patients feel better in their clothes. They just want to be able to fill out a t-shirt. They don’t necessarily want to come in and have their chest seen first when they walk into a room, but they just want an enhancement so that they look good in their clothes, feel good in their clothes and then walk down the street, they can hold their shoulders back and walk with self-confidence.
FEMALE VOICE: Before, I was very insecure. I mean my friends you know, oh you look good, you’re fine, you’re pretty. But you know it’s more about what you feel like internally.
DR. SUZANNE YEE: We want to have them look good in the clothes, so when they’re walking down the street, someone will go, wow, she looks great, but not wow, look at those breast implants. So it’s really important that we get a natural appearance, a nice silhouette for the patient then they leave here.
