PhotoFacial (IPL)
Photo Facial treatment has a natural advantage versus other skin treatments, because it is non-abrasive. With Vibraderm, layers of skin are actually sanded away. A chemical peel uses acid solution to burn away layers of skin. Today, lasers give surgeons infinitely more control, making skin resurfacing safer and more predictable. However, unlike the photo facial, laser skin resurfacing still exfoliates the protective outer layer of skin, which may require bandages and a somewhat lengthy recovery period.

Understanding IPL Photo Facial Rejuvenation
IPL (intense pulsed light) rejuvenation was designed to combat the effects of aging and damaged skin in a softer, gentler way. With IPL rejuvenation, the redness and flushing of rosacea can be reduced up to 60 percent. It can be used to treat the face, neck, chest, and even the hands.
Using the advanced IPL system, Dr. Yee can gently deliver precise amounts of light energy through your skin’s surface. This energy stimulates the production of collagen, which in turn softens the appearance of aging skin. Fine lines and wrinkles are decreased and the redness associated with rosacea is significantly reduced. Sun damaged skin is dramatically improved.
IPL photo facial rejuvenation treatments are spaced out at four-week intervals, with each treatment delivered at specific settings to maximize your results.
What to Expect After the Procedure
Postoperative discomfort is extremely minimal. After treatment with most light systems, the skin may appear flushed and capillaries may seem to be more visible and brown spots may look darker. This flushed look soon fades away and the capillaries appear to vanish, leaving the skin looking younger.
Following treatment, it is important to follow Dr. Yee's instructions, avoid any harsh skin cleansers, and use sunscreen.
